Human-First AI: Insights from Agriculture, Energy, and Rural Marketers

At Paulsen, we’ve been at the forefront of generative AI developments impacting agriculture, energy, and rural America. To better assist our clients and partners, we surveyed marketing and communications professionals in these sectors to understand their challenges and the role of generative AI.

Paulsen’s research results included:

• Nearly 80% of respondents lack a well-defined AI strategy, and more than half have no formal policies governing AI use.
• When asked about challenges they believe generative AI can solve, 80% of respondents cited generating written content as a potential generative AI use
• When asked about the unique value of their industry expertise, 47% of respondents were very confident that their skills and knowledge could not be replicated by AI, while 53% were somewhat confident.
