Courtney Haberl joined the creative team at Paulsen as a senior art director earlier this month. She will work on a variety of client projects, from concept design and storyboard development to creative execution.

"Courtney demonstrates the right combination of creative talent and industry knowledge," says Paulsen President & CEO Marcus Squier. "But more importantly, she's committed to helping clients succeed and working together with team members to exceed expectations. She is a terrific addition to the work we do at Paulsen."

Courtney brings a strong background in agri-marketing to her role at Paulsen, having worked for Hefty Seed Company and its AgPhd division in various roles for six years. She describes ag professionals as more relaxed and down-to-earth than other industries, and she looks forward to getting back into that dynamic at Paulsen. "I missed working in agriculture," she explains. "I feel connected to it. I had to jump at this opportunity to get back into the ag world."

An artist at heart, she spends her free time on creative projects like painting murals and upcycling furniture and other items. "I've always felt drawn to being creative," she says. "Growing up, I was always in an art class or art club at school."

She enjoys working with clients to elevate creative marketing concepts. "Seeing them get to that aha movement and being happy with the end result feels so awesome," she says.

Courtney grew up near Sioux Falls and studied marketing and design at Southeast Technical College; today, she lives north of Sioux Falls in the town of Baltic. Following her tenure with Hefty/AgPhd, she began doing freelance work before eventually starting her own animation studio, Hyperfocus Motion, with a friend and colleague. Most recently, Courtney worked as a multimedia coordinator for Horizon Health.

She is excited about this new chapter beginning at Paulsen. "The people here are awesome," she says. "Everyone has been so welcoming."
